About

I paint animals – not just as subjects, but as expressions of freedom, inner strength, and quiet connection.

Since childhood, I have had a special bond with animals. They have given me the closeness, the understanding without words, and the warmth I was searching for. Reading the language of animals is not just a talent for me, but a way of life. They helped me accept my sense of being different and taught me to see their often underestimated wisdom and clarity – unfiltered, direct, and genuine.

It was only predictable that I married a veterinarian who shares the same passion and perspective. In my paintings, I capture the feelings and emotions I associate with each animal. My animals are strong personalities. How could it be otherwise? They have accompanied me through every situation in my life.

I live together with my soul animals: Ida, our Golden Retriever, three cats, and three horses – along with my wonderful husband Nobsa and our three daughters, who share our love of animals.

For me, everything is connected: understanding and empathy for animals, family, and the constantly changing life around us. I dislike conventions and rigid ways of thinking. That is why I choose colors freely. Everything can be exactly as we wish or feel.

With my art, I aim to inspire: to dream, to feel strength, to embrace self-determination – and to live your own personality with pride. Just like the animals.

With gratitude,
Tina Paulus
